Elation question

I think this might be one of the only questions you could have asked about the Elation that I don't have a sure answer for. I can tell you that in comparison to the 3* hotel we stayed at...I felt very safe. Really, don't worry about you safety anymore on a cruise than you do on any vacation. I always tell my kids/family...If I die on a cruise, just know I died happy.;)

They removed the sprinkler system when they removed the front lawn from the ship. They also removed the lawn care staff. This is saving Carnival a ton of money. No lawn, no staff, and no sprinkler systems to maintain. In the winter it was a real pain to blow out the sprinklers so they would not freeze. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if the Elation has sprinkler systems? This is our first cruise and we just wanted to know how safe cruises are.

Yes, The Elation has a sprinkler system (fire that is - not sure about lawn maintainance not that the Elation has mini-putt :D ). We're taking our second cruise on her in February. My XH was a sprinkler fitter and for some stupid reason I still notice things like that. They blend into the ceiling real well and unless you know what they are you don't even notice them. They are spaced much closer together than in a normal hotel room. I felt safer on the ship than in many hotels I've stayed in.
