Car Rental

Just wondering if its worth it to rent a car for the day rather then hire a cab for a few hours. We are not planning anything other then looking around the island for 3 to 4 hours.

 

The next question is that I went on line and found a deal at AVIS, if we decide to rent the car, is it hard to get to their location (Seven Mile Beach), are there shuttles?

Renting a car is a wonderful idea. I think most of the rental places will make arrangements to meet you at the port area, either with your car, or picking you up and taking you to their location.

 

We were there for a week, and had a ball. I don't think there's a road on the island that we didn't wander around on. We especially enjoyed the East End, Rum Point area, Savannah, and Bodden Town.

 

We used Andy's. They have a location at the airport and along 7MB (next to Coconut Joe's-a place we ate at several times).
