Having trouble finding hotel close to Port Everglades!

We'd like to find a hotel that is close to the port in Fort Lauderdale. We are sailing on RCCL in May and we are not from the area, and there are so many hotels to choose from, I'm completely clueless! I have read that the Ramada is not a good choice, which is too bad because it's affordable and they offer free shuttle service.

 

Can anyone recommend a hotel that has free shuttle service either between the airport and hotel or between the hotel and the port to the ship for a rate under $150 (including taxes)????

In May, which is out of season, you should be able to get something like the Renaissance thru Priceline for in the neighborhood of $100. Spend lots of time reading the threads on this board. Then you'll be ready to make good decisions.

There's a whole thread dedicated to the Sleep Inn an Dania that offers what your looking for year round. Other threads discuss the LaQuinta in Hollywood, The Holiday Inn Express and Amerisuites on 17th Street.
