Applying specials/discounts after booking

Hello,

I am in the process of booking an additional cabin on my upcoming Destiny sailing. This is my first experience with a PVP. She is asking me to book today, because she promises that she can still apply any upcoming sales (including the 12th day of Christmas on Thursday that I have been waiting for), as long as they are before final payment.

 

I thought most of the sales were for new bookings only? She said that didn't matter. Does anyone else have any experience with this, or am I getting the run-around?

she is correct, as long as the sale applies to that sailing she can do it. the problem is just because there is a sale doesnt mean the price will be lower. you should do it now because its better to be safe than sorry. besides if she isnt right then u are still able to cancel.

I was told the same thing by PVP (who I adore btw!). I booked the cruise and sure enough, a promotion came up later that would save us $200 extra. He applied it and sent me a new confirmation with my latest total on it (reflecting the new discount).

The same thing happened to me today!! We booked (with a Military Discount) about a month ago and the 12 days of Christmas Sale came up with a 200.00 per cabin discount for summer sailings. I got 200.00 off my bottom line today!! WOO HOO!!! Just e-mailed my PVP and asked for it!

Awesome, thanks for the info. I went ahead and booked, and I will keep my eye out for those sales!
