Christmas Gift for First time cruiser

Our family is on the BOS for a mediterranean cruise this summer. Can anyone suggest a Christmas gift for my 17 yo daughter related to the cruise or travel in general. Have plenty of luggage and a travel purse/bag.

A trip journal. She can even start writing in it before the trip, and keep notes on her preprations and excitement.

 

Cruisewear, maybe something to wear to the formal dinner (or a promise to take her shopping for such as the cruise approaches).

 

A travel guide to your destination port(s).

 

A digital camera with a large memory card.

 

and last but not least..of course she must have....

 

A lifetime subscription to CruiseCritic :D

I think 3 rings suggestion of a trip journal is excellent. Also, you could find out what kind of shore excursions are on the ship. If you found out, for example, there's a snorkle or diving excursion, perhaps a new snorkle or new fins. You didn't say what your budget is, but there are many kinds of excursions. Even paying for an excursion would be nice if you can afford it.

We just gave our parents onboard credits via our travel agent on an upcoming RCI cruise. That way they can get what they want. We're going to make up little coupons and put them either in a card or a snow globe. Whatever we end up having time to do.

A water wallet would be nice with OBC inside ( a letter stating how much you bought).

 

A ship shaped piggy bank for her to toss change into for the cruise.
