how soon once you first get on the boat should you book your excursions.especially ones that say limited space

ASAP. We usually wait until after the excursion talk. You may place your selections inside of the box at the excursions desk. No need to wait in line.

 

We usually receive our tickets after dinner the day we place our selections in the box.

 

Make sure you pick your selections as they book up quickly!

I agree, ASAP! I research the excursions before we go. You can find them on Carnival's website. From there we pick our top two for each port in case our #1 choice is full. We head for our cabin (on ships with FunVision) or straight to the Shore Excursions desk on embarkation day and have always received the ones we wanted.
