Painter Posted December 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2006 What resturants does one have to pay for on the Cunard line? Thinking of doing the Queen Victoria in 2008. Are there any 24hour buffets? Do I have to pay for the afternoon teas etc?
Bramcruiser Posted December 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2006 The only "pay" restaurants on any Cunard ship that I am aware of are the Todd English Restuarants which are on the Queen Mary 2 and the new Queen Victoria. The English tea, the pub lunches in the Golden Lion, the Lido style buffet dining and the dining room are all included in the fare. There is no pay restuarant that I am aware of on the Queen Elizabeth 2. Of course, you do know that alcohol is extra no matter where you eat. cusyl Posted December 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2006 The lunch is free in the Golden Lion Pub, but a cup of coffee to go with it, with no refill is $3.00  We did enjoy the fish and chips, steak and mushroom pie, ploughman's lunch and bangers and mash. :D We found eating all meals in the restaurant to be much better than using the buffet which we had on other ships, for breakfast and lunch.
