Getting To The Ship On Time!

We are taking a cruise in March 2007 and I need some help!!

I like to plan things well in advance so that there are no surprises.

We are planning on staying in Newark, NJ overnite and then taking a taxi to the cruise terminal at 12th and west 55th.

I called a few cab companies to get a quote. For a 16-17 mile drive I have been given 3 different quotes - $98, $75 & $30. The first two calls I made, I told them that I was from Ontario and on the cheap fare I forgot to mention that I was calling from Canada.

Has anyone out there done this before and do you have any advice for me.

I appreciate any info that you may have for me.
