farjar Posted December 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2006 Anyone have excursion or sightseeing suggestions for the Southern or Eastern Caribbean ports of St. Thomas, Barbados, Grenada, Tortola, San Juan or St. Maarten? We are thinking of taking either the Pearl, the Spirit or the Dawn and it depends a lot upon what we can do once we get there. We would appreciate knowing what you did, what you liked and what you didn't. Thanks NCL Dawn, Bermuda-Bahamas 2006 NCL Dream, Texaribbean 2005 NCL Wind, Hawaii 2004 NCL Sky, Alaska 2002

Thanks NCL Dawn, Bermuda-Bahamas 2006 NCL Dream, Texaribbean 2005 NCL Wind, Hawaii 2004 NCL Sky, Alaska 2002 Just some things I enjoyed on these islands: St Thomas - we took an open air bus tour and got dropped off at Coki beach. We preferred Coki to Magen's Bay (better snorkeling at Coki - although Magen's is a bit more scenic) Barbados: We did an island tour with a taxi driver (especially liked the ancient church (St James I think) and the rugged coast scenery in Bathsheba) Grenada: We did an island tour with a taxi driver and we went to Grand Anse Beach. We liked the National Park, the falls (Annandale Falls if memory serves correctly) and the beach. Tortola: Last time we took the ferry to Virgin Gorda and saw The Baths (excellent). Sint Maarten: We went to Orient Beach by taxi (lovely long beach with lots to do and great people watching)
