We are off to our 5th cruise aboard the Island Princess and looking for recommendations on

best beaches

We just got off that cruise today. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask. I'll try to write something up in the next couple of days to provide some insight for those of you planning that cruise.

The DW and I will also be on that cruise. I guess I better bring some rope to lash down me and the DW down. I paid for a balcony and dammit we are going to use it come wind or high water.

We only used our balcony a few times - mostly when we didn't feel like going up to the deck to watch us sail away from the islands. Our friends had a balcony that they used on the way back - they said it was really well sheltered from the wind, so they sat outside and read a bit on the way back to LA.

 

I would suggest bringing stuff to entertain yourself though - I read 8 books on the trip and was happy to have the time to do it. Of course, there are always some sort of activities going on - so you can be as busy as you choose.
