The Chandlers Posted July 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2004 You should get your documents in the mail 2-3 weeks before your sail date. Carnival's web site says that they try to have all luggage delivered to the rooms by 7pm. I hope that helps.:)
Cotton Posted July 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Most people get their docs anywhere from 1-3 weeks prior to cruise. Once you board the ship, your luggage will be placed outside your cabin door - could be there within a few minutes, could be after dinner. I've always had mine before dinner. I have always found my bags 1-2 hours after I arrive and well before dinner. Tickets will arrive at anytime between 21-10 days depending on your agency. Crichard Posted July 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2004 WE were not thinking and did not bring our swim suits with us. We were on the Conquest for 11:30, but did not have all of our luggage until 7:30. The kids were wanting to get in the pools, but no suits. Suggestion, bring them or wear them under your clothes. IBEEMOM Posted July 21, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2004 Bring your swim suits, and maybe a change of clothes for each person, in your carry on. That way it won't make any difference when the luggage arrives. Have a great cruise!
WazAnOkie Posted July 21, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2004 I agree with the previous, put anything you have to have in your carryon - swimsuit, prescriptions, documents, etc... then take your carryon to the room, drop it off, and go exploring (includes drinking, eating, drinking, looking around, drinking - hmm, is there a pattern here?) We have had our luggage delivered to the room in plenty of time for dinner, so has not been a problem. It may also depend on what time you checked in your luggage to the porters, what deck you are on, etc. As long as you have the important and/or emergency stuff in your carryon, dont sweat the rest of it, enjoy yourself! Rare Terre Posted July 23, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2004 You don't always get ALL of your luggage at the same time either. You may get one piece before dinner, one after. I don't think we've ever gotten all our luggage at the same time. Always put shorts, swim suit, whatever you'd like to change into in your carry-on. We change into shorts as soon as we get to our cabin and don't have to worry about when the rest of our luggage arrives.:D
