Atistec Posted December 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 21, 2006 Has anyone done parasailing in St. Thomas? If so, how was it? Where, how much, and did you book in advance or when you got to the beach? Thanks Lois
nmarsh Posted December 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2006 I came to this site to post this same question. We wondered if we should book this through the ship or on our own?
rodbrod Posted December 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2006 if your cruise takes you to st martin, it seemed to me that there was more parasailing at orient beach. my two kids did it at bikini section of orient and it was great. we just signed them up at the beach 90.00 for two tandem. waited 10 minutes.they got to ride jet skis to the boat, had a nice boat ride and then parasailed. i know you asked about st thomas but we liked st martin parasailing
The Islander Posted December 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2006 Hello, There is parasailing in St. Thomas. Its usually around $60-$70, more for two tandem. Sapphire has parasailing offered at their watersports booth. You can parasail from Coral World, info. at http://www.coralworldvi.com/parasailing.shtml. --Islander *****
nmarsh Posted January 22, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2007 We parasailed in St Thomas through the ship aboput two weeks ago. It was amazing. We went on a small boat with 8 people. Most of us booked through the ship but one girl booked on her own, I don't know what she paid. We walked a short distance from the ship to the boat. sblois Posted January 24, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2007 I wasn in St. Thomas last week and parasailed at Sapphire Beach. It was awesome! We took the Sunny Liston tour and were dropped off at Sapphire Beach. Went to the marina and booked, told to come back in half an hour to catch the boat. We only put down a deposit at the Marina and paid the difference after the parasailing right on the boat. I used my visa to pay for it all. It cost $75 person, going tandem didn't make a difference in the price. We did go tandem - it's nice to have someone up there with you to point out things to each other. Our guys dipped us in the water (they knew we wouldn't mind) and we had about 15 mins up there. The take off and landing were on the boat and completely smooth. I loved it and can't wait to do it again!!
