Rental Car CD Prices in Vancouver

When you rent a car in Vancouver and return to Seattle the price they give you on the web site is in CD's. Are you actually charged in CD's when you return the car or USD's? Or doesn't it really matter if you are paying by CC anyway?

The rate is based and charged in Canadian dollars and then converted to US dollars by your credit card company. Generally the credit card company adds 2%-3% transaction fee but on the other hand, the rate they use is better than you would get yourself if you changed money in Vancouver, so it just about evens out.
