tuliene Posted December 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2006 I'm a single mom wondering if anyone has dined at Palo's as a single. I ususally don't feel weird about travelling or dining alone but it seems like such an obivous couples experience... I wouldn't mind trying the food - the brunch doesn't seem to be that exciting. Inspcramer Posted December 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2006 Which cruise are you going on? Maybe you could meet up with other board members.I haven't had the brunch yet but will be next cruise Wonder 1/21. Everything I've read from others who have gone is that they liked the brunch even more than the dinner and they really loved the dinner.
RB Bonzo Posted December 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 29, 2006 Palo has a bar - maybe you'd be more comfortable sitting there? The brunch is awesome, though.
OceanLiner Posted December 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2006 Brunch is much, much better than dinner: not as overdone, very relaxed, and a fantastic daylight view which is not to be had at dinner. There is no reason that you cannot enjoy a meal at Palo as a single. They do have a bar and I believe that you can eat at the bar. You might even want to make a double or quad reservation and then see if you can find interesting passengers who might wish to join you for a great brunch or dinner. Palo is a tough reservation and offering to share the experience would be most welcome. Have fun, avoid the dinner, eat the brunch!
woody73 Posted December 29, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2006 We have been to Palo many times. I think you would enjoy the dining experience more if you had someone to converse with. I suggest making a reservation for two toward the end of the cruise. Just wait and see if there's someone who's similarly interested in dining at Palo.
