walking cozumel...what to do

We are not doing an excursion in Cozumel...we are just goign to walk and shop...any places to make sure we go to or places to make sure we avoid??

Los Cinco Soles is a "fixed price" store on the main drag/waterfront/Avenida Rafael Melgar. It has a wide variety of items offered for sale in Cozumel. My suggestion would be to go there to get an idea as to what you might want to buy and make note of their price. Then shop at stores a block or two away from the waterfront, or away from the town square, using the store price as the absolute max you would ever consider paying. Most places you can (and should expect to) haggle over the price. Be polite and don't offend or be offended in the negotiations.
