What is the best snorkeling beach in Belize?

We will be in Belize for the first time the beginning of March and we will most likely be doing the cave tubing excrusion and if time permits, we'd also like to get in some snorkeling here as well.

 

Can anyone tell us of what is the best snorkeling beach in Belize? and what is a great snorkeling spot near the cruise ship port?

I don't know what the best snorkeling beach in Belize is, but when we went Cave Tubing there was not nearly enough time to do anything else. Belize City does not really have any beaches. From what I have seen we will have to ride a water taxi quite awhile to get to the islands that have beaches and the reef to snorkel from. The cave tubing is great and you will really enjoy it, but there is quite a bus ride there and back.
