stever Posted December 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2006 Is your luggage to be not locked, as if checking on a plane? Thank You
Deb C. Posted December 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2006 Oh, be sure to lock it when getting on and especially after you put it in the hallway the night before disembarkation!!!!
Friendly Cruiser101 Posted December 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2006 We have been on about 10 cruises and have never bothered to lock our luggage in the hallway or checking in at the ship, never had a problem. For the flight that is a different story, we have found that you need to keep a sharp eye out when going through security, some of our small items have taken a walk. But on the ship no problems. Anything worth any $$ should be in your carry on anyway.
j!m Posted December 31, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2006 we ALWAYS lock our bags TAS locks and have never had a problem. an unlocked bag is an open invitation for someone to take what they want and airports are especially prone to articles becoming missing
golfnkitties Posted December 31, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2006 On our last cruise, this past October, we used Neon colored, bright cable ties that can be opened, but not easily. We also had neon green ribbons. When we went to claim our luggage after the cruise, they were all stacked together ! One of the Celebrity fellows said, he thought they would be lonely with out one another so put them off to the side all together ! And, refused a tip !! Upon unpacking at home, we found a TSA note that the bag had been inspected, then re-locked ! Just a suggestion, but we will always use them now !
