Calm waters in Tahiti

Hey fivefoot4,

I've only sailed there earlier in the year, but I heard it should be fine in July. Rarotonga is the only part where you may experience rough seas, but then that happens throughout the year anyways. Come join our sailing 7/9/07! We have a really fun and lively roll call going on!!:D

We were on the Paul Gaugin in September and encountered one night of very rough seas on the way to Bora Bora. So, while the South Pacific is generally calm, there are times it can be quite rough, and the Paul Gaugin and Princess ships that sail there are small ships where you can feel the motion more.

Thanks 2manyplaces I think I need to check out the seasick remedies again. I took bonine last trip but even then I felt a bit light headed when we encountered a bit of rocking but it was a fairly calm sea otherwise.
