Alexis Posted December 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2006 Can you use it? There are no streamers or confetti allowed to be used on sail away as in days past. ;) Throwing anything off of a ship is not allowed.
suezyq50 Posted December 31, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2006 We don't want to upset the environment. :) I have seen bubbles and the sticks that give off light. You see them at amusement parks, etc. I picked some up at Kroger after the Halloween sale. Don't forget to have that favorite drink in hand. FunCruiser56 Posted December 31, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2006 We were so disapointed when we took our first cruise in the 80's, we fully expected what we had seen on the 'Love Boat' series with the streamers and confetti. You still will have an exciting send off, people blowing bubbles, cars honking at the ship, even police cars with their lights and sirens going, small boats sailing along with the people waving at you. Seems that lots of folks living in the condos along the way blow bull horns, flash their lights at us. It is like a huge party. You won't miss the confetti a bit. rose102798 Posted December 31, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted December 31, 2006 Just saw these really cool confetti shooters at a local store. Thought they would be cool. Remembered collecting a bunch of flying streamers at bon voyage with the kids on our Mariner cruise this summer. Just never really realized if it was the ship that let them fly or passengers. Must have been RCCL. Oh well they must know how to contain/minimize it!? Thanks for the responses -- we'll stick with our bubbles.
