Garden Villa Question

Hi, this is my first post but I have been reading this board for awhile, because my first NCL cruise is coming up. We are going on the Pearl on the 1/5 sailing and staying in a Garden Villa. I am very excited. But my father had a few questions.

1) I know there is some sort of VIP embarkation, does anyone know how early you can board the ship?

2) Is there wireless internet in the suites?

3) Will we have access to some kind of courtyard or something?

4) How much do the restaurants charge?

5) Are there any perks that come with the Villa that the brochure might not mention?

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

HI! We had a gv for the Pearl transatlantic, prepare for a marvelous time, especially if this is your first NCL cruise.

Since your cruise will be the first 9 day itinerary, I couldn't tell you the exact boarding time, but whatever time you arrive, you will be escorted aboard, through the crowd, by either the concierge or your butler.

There is wireless in the suite, as well as a laptop if you choose not to bring your own, but there is no printer, as advertised. You have to send your printting downto the internet manager.

You have your own small courtyard with a dining table for eight, a hot tub, ca couple of chairs and Bali beds. You will also have a small upper sun deck with Bali beds and a hammock. There is also the deck 14 courtyard with the little "swim against the current" pool a Jacuzzi, some gym equipment and loungers. In the morning there are juice and pastries. With the villa, though, there is no need for the courtyard.

Two complimentary dinners come with the villa, along with the 6 bottles of liquor. I don't know what the restaurants cost, most of our other dinners were hosted and I didn't pay attention to the bills on the others.

But do be aware, the suite is not private except for the actual bedroom cabins. The staff walks in and out freely through the front door and the crew access doors in the courtyard/patio area.

We stayed in the garden villas on the dawn and you are so right about the outside area not being private. One time the crew had keys to access the back area so that hey can get in and out, but had forgotten to lock it one evening and a passenger who was just wandering around the ship found his way not only into the back outside area, and then walked right into our suite. We were actually hosting a dinner party that night-It was really quite funny-The poor guy was so confused--I felt so bad for him, but the rest of the trip I kept wanting that lock double checked-especially because we have 3 kids!!!!!!!!!!!!

you will enjoy it!!!!!!!!!
