A one word description, "Unimpressive"

 

Sailed with him 3/18, and he's right out of the cruise directors handbook. Tired jokes, no spontaneity, just seemed to be going through the motions. I hope he's a vacation fill-in.

 

That is unfortunate. I have really enjoyed my last two CDs, Mark Price and Darcy Knievel. Maybe as you said he is a vacation fill-in and Mark will be back by the time I board in May. :)

You have to book directly through Carnival (Carnival Reservations Administration) - they can check availability and then quote you a rate. Just make sure you are sitting down - it is several hundred more per person over a Cat 12 rate. You have to sign and notarize a release form, indicating that you are aware that the cabin is not "normally" available for use by the public - and that it comes "as is". Which, IMHO, is quite adequate!

 

It's a great place to watch the activities!

Anyone know who will be on the Valor on May 6th?

I have a CD question:

 

Are the better CD's on the newest ships? Or is it based upon senority? Or is it based simply on schedules? Do the older ships have less desirable or newer CDs? For example, John Heald was our CD on the Liberty last year (when it was brand new) and now he is on the Freedom.

In John's case, I think he wants to be in Europe, and he has the seniority/reputation to get what he wants.

Well it looks like James Smith was just a vacation fill-in. According to Cruiser Joe's review of last week's Conquest cruise Mark Price is back. :)

Does anyone know if Marc Price used to be a CD for RCI? On our first cruise, Enchantment, we had an AWESOME CD named Marc, with a C. He was one of the best we've sailed with, still. He was English, and played the Austin Powers music whenever he came on stage (then again, that was 5 years ago, lol). Very cute, too!

Annoying... thats the only word I can think of to describe this person. EVERY time he spoke, he was goofy, meaning trying to be funny-but wasn't. Also said, Byeeeee....I said BYEeee.. every time he was done speaking on stage... I really have enjoyed many CD's but for me, in my opinion only...was just not up to par. Along with many silly stupid games for adults that were too preschool'..

We have sailed with Chris as a Social Host and a Cruise Director and found him to be a genuinely nice guy. I would not let one habit that happens to annoy one person cause any concern.

Wow. Chris Roberts on the Legend. I'm going on the Legend this Sunday.

 

Chris was our CD on the Miracle in August. Didn't like him at all. He wasn't funny at all.

 

Hopefully he'll signing off after this cruise. (fat fat fat fat chance)

 

and if not we'll just make the best of it!

Tory Secoy on the miracle. I heard from a few people that she really isn't that good. She got on everyone nerves with a couple of words that she repeats over and over again.

I can only hope that when the miracle comes out of dry dock in two days, she is not on it.

I absolutely love Paul. I would literally book a cruise just because he is on it. We sailed together twice on the Holiday in 2003 and had a wonderful time both times.
