Can I transfer a booking with a PVP to a regular TA?

My PVP got me a great price on our upcoming Destiny cruise, but I recently found a regular TA offering even better savings, and my PVP cannot match that.

 

Is it a hassle to transfer a booking to a regular TA? How do I go about doing that?

It is very easy. When you booked with your PVP they assigned a pin number (usually the last four digits of your SSN). Just give that pin number and your booking number to your new TA and they can transfer the booking. However, sometimes you cannot "transfer" the same booking, you must cancel and then re-book with the TA. But your TA will be able to tell you how to handle the process.

 

Your PVP is awarded points for assisting you with planning and booking your cruise and is not penalized for a transferred booking.

Got it all taken care of! I don't feel too bad since my PVP still gets the credit for booking it for me. We saved almost $100/pp, which will go a long way when booking shore excursions and whatnot.
