DeBlonde1 Posted January 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Has anyone ever added a 3rd person to their room after booking? Is there a way to add them on that might be better or cheaper than other ways? The cruise itself is only 279 per person when 2 are in a room, the travel agent says it will be 250 to add them to our room. Seems high. Thanks for advice! virginiab Posted January 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Well, not a cheaper way, but maybe a better way (depending on who the 3rd person is). . . . You might want to check on the price for a solo cabin for your 3rd traveller.
jimbug Posted January 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2007 I've done this twice....if you are before final payment date, then you should only have to pay a deposit for the 3rd person (same price as your deposit)...then you will pay the remainder of their fare at the same time as your final payment. The 3rd person fare is generally less than the 1st and 2nd person, but it may not be much less for such an inexpensive cruise that you are on. $250 sounds reasonable to me. Sue L Posted January 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Also note that just because you room holds 3 people if the total capacity of the ship is filled than you won't be able to add the extra person. So if this is a possiblity you should do it asap to avoid any problems.
