Has anyone used satellite radios?

My family will be cruising to the Western Caribbean in April and my husband wants to bring his satellite radio. Has anyone done this and can you get a signal in the Caribbean?

I took my XM MyFi last year to Huatulco, Mexico last year, and it didn't work. Check with you satellite carrier, as they can give you the perimeters of how far they broadcast their signal. I think it's as far south as Alcapulco, so just draw a line east, and that should tell you how far the signal goes.
