walk to Atlantis?

Can we walk to Atlantis Resort? How long of a walk would it be? I thought I had read that you can see Atlantis from the cruise ship pier so I figured it can't be too far. Is it a nice walk with things to see?

It's a long distance, you view it across the water. You can take a water or land taxi, or it would be quite a hike across the bridge to Paradise Island.

I wouldn't advise walking...it really is far away! We took a water taxi and really enjoyed it. They highlighted some of things we were passing. Once we docked on Paradise Island (where Atlantis is), it was about a 1/2 mile or so walk to the hotel with some restaurants and shops along the way. If you take a taxi rather than a water taxi to Atlantis, from what I understand, it's quicker, cheaper and they take you right to the front door of the hotel. But what can I say...I like being on the water! :)
