Beach And Drinks

We were on the Carnival Legend, and stopped in Belize on Dec 24th....we did the "Private Island Beach Break"...they take you to Bannister Island....a small caye about 7 or 8 minutes by boat from the ship. It's not an open bar, but they do have one (not so cheap, but, hey....you're in paradise), one ticket per person included (exchange for a rum punch)...included are beach chairs/loungers, blue pads to lie on which double as floats for the water.....nice beaches.....pedal boats and kayaks included, too....they serve grill-type food (additional charge) should anyone not be able to last until the return to the ship's buffet (!) I think it was $45/$38 or 39 for kids, through Carnival....you're there about 4 hours.

You can also do this privately from shore...Coral Breezes, and FAB Tours are 2 operators who include some time at Bannister Island on their combo snorkel tours. But, if all you want is relaxing beach time, do it through the ship....nice and easy (and I'm not a fan of ships' tours).
