snorkel vests

We will be snorkeling alot I hope during our eastern caribbean cruise this April. I think if will help out my kids (11 and 7) if they have a vest on. I am looking for the type that they hand out at Castaway Cay on DCL. Does anyone know what this type of vest is called and where I can purchase it. It is extremely thin, but can be inflated, and would not take up too much room in the suitcase.

look at http://www.leisurepro.com or www.divers-supply.com also when there if on an extursion they will have them. most snorkle boats require them so they carry an abundance of them

:) :) Thanks so much. That is exactly what I was looking for. We plan to do our own snorkelling excursions, so they will come in handy. I think they will be good to use in hotel pools and waterparks, too!!

We purchased ours new on EBay a few years ago. After we had an incident last year where DH's vest had a small tear in it, we won't go snorkeling without ours now.

 

We don't take chances with tour groups' equipment anymore.

I bought my wife's snorkel vest on Ebay.........saved about $10 vs. an online shop.........

you can actually buy the vests on board. Princess has the adult or child sizes. They retail for $29.00. you can also rent them either for the day or for the week.:)

I was glad we had our own on a couple of excursions. The vests provided by the excursion were the standard orange life jackets, which were difficult to swim in.
