spetragl Posted January 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2007 I just returned from Sailing on the Holland America Noordam 12/27/2006 - 01/06/2007. I just want to comment on the Virgin Islands Sailaway excursion in Roadtown Tortola. The brochure said "visit Norman Island, the setting of the novel Treasure Island" Maybe so, but to get there would require a helicopter. We were snorkeling at the base of a 200 foot rocky mountain. "Swim from the catamaran into the caves,or from the beach when the boat relocates to the beach at theBight."There was nothing in the caves, and worse we only saw 2 fish! And as far as the beach goes, nothing more than green-molded sand with a covered picnic table. For 4 people, it cost over $300. Definitely not worth the money!
