Sailaway on Liberty

We are thinking of taking an Anniversary on Liberty in November. My only two cruises have been on RCCL and am looking forward to experiencing other cruise lines. We were on the Navigator of the Seas on our honeymoon cruise and loved being on the helipad for docking and sailaway. I was curious if Liberty had a viewing area on the bow and if not where the best place to view docking/sailaway was? Thanks!!!! :)

I believe on most if not all of the Carnival ships, the bow is for the crew only. Not sure where the best viewing spot is, am interested to see what comes up on this thread so I'll know where to go in Feb. once we start to sail.:) It was either one deck below, or the same deck as the bridge on Elation. I watched sailaway from there at the different ports and I was looking with the bow below me, and could see well in front of it. I'm sure there's nothing like seeing it from the bow of the ship, would love to one day, but I don't want to leave Carnival. If I get to where I really wanna do it bad enough, I guess I'll go on another line just to be able to say I saw what it was like from the bow of a ship, but for now, I'm sticking with where I'm at:)

Deck nine forward is where we prefer. This isn't a good picture of the location, but maybe you'll get the idea The deck is over top of the bridge and extends over the side of the ship so you can see straight down and down the side.

Here's the view down the side:

Thanks everybody for your responses. I will be happy just being on the ship watching sailaway no matter where I am. I am just photo happy and love to get the best possible shots.

Navigator of the Seas has been the only ship so far that I have been on that has public bow access. In my opinion, it is most definitely the best way to see sailaway and docking. Seems as you are right in the middle of all the action. And at night... It is very dark on the bow... nice place to sit and stargaze.
