Snrokeling with asthma

My sister has asthma and is concerned when we go snorkeling that she won't be able to handle it.

I am thinking she will be fine... but was curious if anyone else has a different opinion, especially ones who might have asthma themselves. Of course she will ask her doctor, too.

hi - i have asthma and Loooooooooove to snorkel!!!! in really calm water, she would have no issues - and really its not the breathing through the snorkel, its the exercise that would make me start to wheeze...so i usually take some preventative meds and make sure my puffer is along if i need it!!! does she have a snorkel she can just try breathing through? if she has any more questions, just ask!!:)

and have no issues. The key is to relax in the water and breath slow. Like other post said, make sure you have your meds and puffer. I am sure she will be fine. I never checked with my Dr and I am fine. You will love it too.

Have fun....

i too am an asthmatic.....also a diver she should have no problem, but i can not tell, she needs to ask herself how bad is her asthma.

snorkling is very relaxing, i would reccommend a snorkle lesson, they are cheap but, this is in a controlled enviroment, this way she will know that all will be ok
