Help!! Priceline and Serenade of the Sea's ???'s

Recommended Posts

All:

I know I will get the answers from this board. You all are by far the most knowledgable people I know when it comes to cruising :)

Booked a last minute Southern Caribbean cruise on Serenade of the Sea. Leave in less than 3 weeks . Booked a priceline hotel (resort) at the Marriott Stellaris Hotel and Casino San Juan.

1. Never been on Radiance Class ship. Only AOS and NOS. I know they don't have a promenade. What do they have as far as shopping/bars?

2. Do they retract the roof on the adult pool daily?

3. Do they have the themed parades like AOS does?

4. Will I notice the size of the ship (being smaller)?

5. Has Anyone stayed at Stellaris (San Juan) recently. If so, tell me pro's and con's.

Thanks, everyone, in advance for all you help and input. I can't wait. We are planning some great excursions. I want to see a volcano and the Pitons.

Thanks,

:)FirstTimer from Ohio:)

I have been on both the voyager class and the radiance class and I think that the radiance class is nicer. Actually the serenade of the seas is one of my favorite ships. NO they do not have the promenade or a parade but I really didn't miss that. There is shopping but less. The ship is smaller but there are less people so in fact I find the radiance class ships to be less crowded. Also when going into ports there are less people so they too seem less crowded. They also do not have a Johnny rocket but do have portofino'and chops. The pool area also seems less crowded on these ships. There are many different bars and places to just relax. The lay out is just great. I think you will enjoy the ship.
