Can anyone tell me if the tour bus that goes to the Mayan Ruins of Tulum, the one for 5 hours, is an air-conditioned bus? We will be docked from 9:30 until 6:30. Are there any other tours from the port of Calica recommended? I know that we have to take a taxi from the docking port to Playa del Carmen so what are the prices for a taxi and is it per person or per ride?

 

We would also like to know if anyone has done the Cayman Pirate Encounter?

We will be in port there from 7:00 until 2:00? Is there something that we should not miss at these two places?

We went on the Carnival Tulum excursion, and the tour bus from Playa del Carmen was like a Greyhound and was quite comfortable. Since we were docked in Cozumel, we took a tender boat to Playa del Carmen, so I have no answer about the taxi ride.

 

You must not leave Grand Cayman without visiting the stingrays at Stingray City! This is a MUST DO!!

Thanks, We were in Caymen in 2000 but didn't do any tours. Everyone that we talked to that did the String Rays said it was great.
