San Pedro Port--Purchase colas at Port??

Hi to All...

Joyce, you did not mention how you are getting to the port? The walk would not make it worth it to bring the soda onboard, IMHO. But if it was something special like Dr. Brown's or Vernors, then I can see that better as the port is alittle rough looking .....Dennis

Joyce, a good solution to your issue, we take a small carryon sized bag with sodas in it, bought cheap at our local grocery store, we empty it into the fridge once on board and then use it for purchases on the cruise, unless you are totally maxed on pieces of checked and carryon, this is the best way to go. Otherwise, buy the sodas in first port and make that part of the adventure.Taking a cab to a local market will be a hassel and probably cost a good bit more than just buying them on the ship.

there is nothing in walking distance to san pedro where you could buy anything. if you are taking a cab from LAX you could get the guy to stop off somewhere. Otherwise the hassle wont be worth it just get a soda card. you will be spending time and cab fare it would come out the same unless you are looking fro something specific.

If you are leaving for the San Pedro Port there is a Crew Store there, ask any of the crew and they will tell you where it is. Its hard to describe but its on the upper deck area of the dock. We go down to watch ships take off and park and go get sodas and watch the ships set sail, when we sailed out of there, we bought our sodas there and carried them on. Again ask a crew member and they can point it out, as it is kinda of hidden, and I asked if it was ok to purchase things and they said yes.

Have a good cruise.

Kathy
