acquaboi Posted January 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2007 I have heard conversation on here about the cons of getting a balcony stateroom on the sides of the ship that bow(s) out. Generally Deck 6,7 & 8. What are the views like? -- it appears you can see other cabin balconies -- and vice versa -- not much privacy? or too little? I am up for Liberty next year and wanted to try one. Thank you.
cruisindoggie Posted January 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Take the hump, you will have a better view and a larger balcony. The privacy is about the same. I will be booking a hump for Alaska.
puck645 Posted January 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2007 We second cruisindoggie's sentiments. We've had hump cabins on two of our RCCL cruises. Standing at the railing you can see some of the other balconies quite well, but I think our balcony was a little more private. Our favorite was on the Serenade of the Seas, cabin 8088, for our Panama Canal transit. Great views. Booked the same cabin for September this year aboard the Radiance to Hawaii! Go for the hump!
