Why don't the bars have fresh strawberries?

Derf - how cute how they dressed them up!!

When sailing on Royal Caribbean in 2004, DH & I were laying out by the pool when a crewmember walked by with two flats of strawberries. I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it, but they were from Driscoll which is in the town I live in, so it caught our attention (much like when we see Martinelli's when we are a distance from home).... Since he was on the pool deck, I guess I just assumed they were for the pool bar.... now I have NO idea what they were for... hmmmm Now, I am not sure how many days were into the cruise either.

Also - this was a Mexcian Riviera cruise so they strawberries were more local and didn't have more than a day of transit time in a truck. Perhaps your odds are better on the west coast???
