Labadee Excursions - Mariner of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done the Castaway at Malfini Beach excursion at Labadee? Is the description accurate or not? How was the snorkeling? Could we use this as practice snorkel time for 2 newbies to snorkle before Grand Cayman and Cozumel? How was the beach?

Thanks

Sandy

In my opinion, you can do the practice snorkel time on your own in Labadee. No need to pay for an excursion. From reading reviews, there is not much to look at in Labadee anyway. If you dont like it there and then decide not to snorkel in GC or Cozumel, you will have missed something that only these ports, as well as Belize, have that none of the other ports in the Caribbean can match

I originally had this excursion booked for our cruise in June and cancelled on the ship. I'm very glad we cancelled and saved the $$ (especially since we also had our 2 children 12 & 14). Labadee is beautiful and very relaxing without paying for this excursion. Hubby and daughters brought snorkel gear and snorkeled on their own. We explored the island, relaxed in lounge chairs and enjoyed the BBQ lunch. You'll love it!
