davoman Posted January 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2007 I am sailing on the Dawn 3/1/07 and am interesting in hearing if anyone has gone to St. Barts on their own for the day from St. Maartin. NCL does not list any excursion for St. Barts. How easy is it, is there enough time, is their a ferry? We have done the Orient beach run several times and have enjoyed it, but we wanted to try something new this cruise. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave :)
BrianTom Posted January 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Dave, I have not taken a ferry from St. Marten, but I have been to St. Barts 2 times via cruise ship. It is the best island in the caribbean. Anyway, if you do go to St. Barts, there is a great place to have lunch on the beach called La Plage. The beach is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. All of St. Barts is pricey, but this is a place that is worth spending the money.
CHOCBANAWAD12 Posted January 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2007 I have gone by Catamaran which was $90/pp, 15 years ago. I am unaware of a ferry. Why don't you put the question on the ports board? Sam
212cruiser Posted January 22, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Unless you are overnighting in St. Martin it is very unlikely you will have time to do St. Barts (and make it back to your ship on time).
