Cost effectiveness by cruise line when adding a third person who is a child to a room

I know that Celebrity, for example, charges children even a 6 month old baby, the same as a third adult, to cruise. However, to add a third person to a room who is under 12 I believe on NCL it is only necessary to add the port charges for the extra person.

Does anyone know how other cruise lines treat the third person who is a child?

This is something to really consider when planning a family cruise because it can really add up on your costs or reduce them depending on the line!
