Is there bats in the caves??

We will be in Belize in March & I want to go cave tubing but I swear I will FREAK OUT if I see a bat in any of these caves. Has anyone seen any? Please don't lie to me!!

Yep - lots of them. Seriously. Don't let it bother you though. You only notice them if you get a light and shine it up to the ceiling. You can see them looking at you but they didn't budge when we went through. They are up in little crevaces and holes in the cave ceiling so it's not like they are hanging in plain sight and we didn't see any flying around. Cave tubing is soooooo much fun and I wouldn't let the bats make or break your decision to go.

We were there a few weeks ago. DH saw 1 bat, I did't see any.:( Try it, we had a lot of fun.
