MTJtraveller Posted January 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2007 Hello everyone! I have been watching for an answer to my question for a while, so I thought I'd post... We will be arriving for a day in Rome on Sunday, APril 29th. I understand that the Vatican is open on the 4th Sunday of the month. What I can't see is if there are Vatican tours offered (thru the Vatican) or if I should try to book an unofficial tour. I am trying to bypass long lines.... I have sent my email for the Scavi Tour about a month ago and have not heard back aside from the auto-reply. If there are no tours offered, would it be best on a 4th Sunday to come in the afternoon, avoiding the lines I hear of in the morning? It is all so confusing and nothing seems to address the 4th SUnday issue. Thanks in advance for ANY help... :D
Paparam Posted March 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2007 All the reading I have done suggests: The Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel is open April 29th. Admission is FREE. Entry is between 9.00 am and 12.30 pm and you have to leave the premises by 1:45pm. There are no official Tours. Please note Vatican Historical Museum and Noble Apartment of the Lateran Apostolic Palace are closed (normally admission includes entrance to these too) Al
