NCL Barrier Reef Excursion

Has anyone gone on the Barrier Reef Snorkeling and Beach Break excursion offered by NCL? Belize is one of the stops on our NCL Pearl cruise on 2/11/07. NCL offers this shore excursion. I love to snorkel but my wife does not. The description says that you go out to the reef on a 65 ft. catamaran, snorkel at the reef and then head to a white sand beach for awhile. Question--is she going to be able to stay on the catamaran while I snorkel (and not get bored)? She will like the Beach Break--but I am not sure about her excursion enjoyment while I am snorkeling.

 

We are thinking that it is better to book a ship excursion since Belize City is a "tender" port and this looks like the best offering to wet my snorkeling appetite and her desire for some beach time.
