hotels in Miami

I will be taking the Victory from Miami in April. Can anyone recommend a hotel in the area to stay the night before. thanks

Loved the downtown Hyatt. Excellent property. Also the Doubletree on Biscayne Blvd. I got both on Priceline, bidding downtown and THREE stars for about $55 to $60.

If you are a non smoker you do not want to stay at the Hilton close to the airport. Stayed there last summer (Carnival puts you there) and the smell in the room was bad. We actually rented a taxi to take us to a store to buy carpet fresh.

Holiday Inn, Downtown... on Biscayne Blvd. I stayed there and enjoyed it. You can see the ships from your hotel window. And lots of good entertainment and restaurants, and drinks right across the street.
