TamIam Posted January 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Hi. We'll be going on our first cruise this April. We're sailing on the 10 day Hawaiian cruise on the Wind and wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the Catagory F cabins on the Carribean deck. We'll be in the rear most cabin on the left side of the ship. Any opinions would be appreciated.
paulabr Posted January 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Friends Were On This Deck, On The Jan 10th Cruise And Thye Liked It. The One Problem Was You Tender From That Deck So It Gets Crowed. And We Had Rough Seas To Fanning Island So You Will Rock And Roll, If Yo Have That Problem
NCmom Posted January 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2007 We were in two Cat. Fs on our Wind cruise in 2005. We were on the left side towards mid-ship. I loved the location and the cabin. They're lower on the ship, so we didn't have any problems with rocking. It was also convenient to go to the aft section of elevators and catch one, since this was the lowest level. The room itself was very comfortable with a recessed area with two large portholes (on the days you tender, be sure the curtains are closed since the tenders come up to your window--found this out the hard way). There is a comfortable love seat and chair next to the window. The one draw-back to the room was a lack of drawer space--only 4-6 in the TV chest. The storage in the closet was good though--there were shelves in one side that held all of my stuff easily. They didn't have a fridge so we brought a small cooler, and set it in the window ledge. Our room steward did a great job of keeping it stocked with ice.
TamIam Posted January 28, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted January 28, 2007 Great. That sets my mind at ease. It will be myself, DH and two teenage girls in this one cabin, so hopefully it will be enough space. Thanks so much for the information!
