Hi Barb,

We are staying in Rome post cruise and have booked a flat through Holiday Velvet Ltd. Try james@holiday-velvet.com he's very helpful and answered mountains of questions for us before we booked.

Their web site is http://www.holiday-velvet.com

We spent about 4 months reserching flats in Rome and felt this company were the best to deal with and the best prices.

I would recommend that you look at the following areas :-

Campo dei fiori,

Piazza Navona

I would avoid Termini as it is a rather seedy area, especially at night and Trastevere is on the other side of the river from most of the sights, although this can mean that the flats are cheaper, but you will have farther to walk.

Spanish steps is the most expensive area.

Really anywhere in central Rome will do as you can walk to everything in less than half an hour.

Hope this helps.
