kazooie11 Posted January 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2007 I have Grand Suite 1052 on Radiance hold for a 9/7/07 Vancouver R/T 7 day cruise. I have a few questions about these selections... Is GS 1052 disadvantagious because of its location next to the Concierge Lounge? Can CL patrons see into the suite? The balcony? Any disadvantages to sailing Alaska so late in the season? Any other comments on this combination of ship/cabin/date? Thanks in advance for any and all replies. Jim
seahags Posted January 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2007 we've done Alaska twice, once early September on the Serenade (1600), and last year Radiance late August (1550). I can tell you that we would definitely go again late in the year...the weather was tremendous on both trips...and particularly this year with the record snowfalls they are having (already more than 70" in Anchorage), IMHO it may be a VERY mosquito-y early season with so much to melt! If 1052 is directly forward of the CL, yes, I think there is SOME visibility, but is limited from the CL. If there are no other GS available I'd still sail in that suite...the views of Alaska are absolutely beyond compare and you'll have a wonderful trip!
