Texas_firefighter Posted January 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Just a word of caution from experience. Beware the little shops that only take cash .You leave yourself with little recourse if there is a problem. I wish I had read this somewhere as a reminder ,so I am passing this along so it doesn't happen to you. Stick to the larger stores that take charge cards. That means that they have met some sort of screening criteria and you can also notify your card company if there is a problem and they will hold up payment until a resolution to the dispute can be reached. Tip: carry your card companys toll free number with you in your wallet. Mine was a small loss on defective merchandise , but yours may be larger. This place, DE MEDICINE MAN ,across the street and down a few blocks from pier in Georgetown sells over the counter meds.along with sunglasses and others items along with souveneers. My daughter bought sunglasses there and had them on only a few minutes and they broke . We took them back and they were rude and refused to do anything about it even though their sign says they will allow you to exchange items. My daughter left in tears .Lesson learned ! Note: owner was not Cayman local. WE loved Grand Cayman otherwise. The water is perfect !
