Complimentary Upgrade...when do you find out?

I am booked on the Valor, inside stateroom. To upgrade will cost $500 plus. I just can't justify that expense right now.

I know sometimes cabins are complimentary upgraded by Carnival - - if such were to happen, when would I know? The cruise is in 18 days, and I have my documents.

Anyone ever receive word of an upgrade this close to the cruise date?

Do you know your cabin number? If you do then your probably not going to get an upgrade. If you do not have a room number yet there still may be a chance. Keep your fingers crossed.;)

Scratch that. If appears you didn't do a guarantee, if you did not you will probably not have an upgrade coming.

On our first cruise I booked without a guarantee inside. We were upgraded by the time we got our docs to the Empress level inside, from 4a price to 4d price. I don't hink many upgrades from inside to outside happen.
