Dorchester Posted February 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Hi Can anybody tell me if QM2 has come up with a better way of getting down to the tenders than QE2 with her rickety steps? We used to travel on the much missed Coronia and her steps were much better, but my wife who does not like heights finds it very unerving standing on steps with wobbly handrails open treads, looking down to the sea. Last time we went it was very gusty and the tenders were slow to board and progress down the steps was slow, resulting in my wife refusing to get off the ship at the next tender port. Has antone else had problems and what are the views on this?
hooked cruiser Posted February 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2007 When we were on the QM2 at Xmas the tenering process was painless, no steps and there is an elivator that goes right to the embarkation point.

patwell Posted February 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2007 We just stepped out onto a platform and on to the tender. If you're rocking a bit and it's rough you just want to watch your timing. But there are always crew to help you and grab hold of you as you step off. I didn't find it unnerving at all even though we were bouncing around a good bit one day. Cheers, Penny
