Beach bug bites

Have read about beach bugs/fleas biting at Secret Harbor. Is it just at Secret harbor....all beaches....or at a certain time of year? Coming in on the Destiny the end of Feb. and trying to decide between Sapphire and Secret Harbor. Thanks.

Its at all beaches... sandy areas. They typically come out after it rains and around sunset. They are also called no-see-ums.

Hi Islander,

Thanks for the "bug" response. Could you also advise which beach (Sapphire or Secret) for parents and 16 yr old girls? I was afraid that Secret would be too quiet but the beach restaurant bar is a draw for the parents. Is Sapphire's beach restaurant due to open by the end of the month and is there more to do? Looks like only our ship in port...so it shouldn't be crowded. Thanks for any info you can provide.:)
