Serenade Itinerary Dive Operators

Penguinlo

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the Serenade to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antugua, St. Lucia and Barbados. We would like to dive in two ports. We were thinking St. Thomas and Barbados, but would like to hear others opinions on these locations. Also, if you can recommend any dive operators for some novice divers we would appreciate it. Thanks :D

http://www.admiraltydive.com for St. Thomas is my recommendation. Convenient, customer service oriented, small, uncrowded boat, great dive sites, and really nice people.

I don't know which other port I'd pick for diving, but I do know that I would not pick St. Maarten. Actually, I'd probably pick St. Lucia for diving too, based on what others here have written.

Hi Bruce,

I was pleased to see your post and your recommendation against snorkeling in St. Maarten. I am trying to plan for our next cruise and took your advise for our last cruise. I have come to greatly appreciate your insights.

When we're in Barbados, we go diving with John and Mary Moore of Dive Barbados. http://www.divebarbados.net We will be returning for our third trip with them in about three weeks - they're wonderful folks & the diving is great.

Here are links to my reviews

The diving in St. Lucia was very nice last year, but we had to take the shorex due to an odd port time. We thought the dives were rushed, and WAY overpriced.

If your schedule fits, Dive Fair Helen on St. Lucia has gotten good reviews. There is another operation at a hotel that has gotten a good review, but I can't recall it now. Search this board for St. Lucia, and it will come up.

Have a great trip!

Wendy

We listened to Bruce and booked with Admiralty St Thomas and requested ship wreck dive as that is hubby's passion and it was amazing. For $ 5.00 they picked him up at the pier on their M2R duck boat. It was a great dive and he would do it again. I think the price for the 2 tank dive was $95.00. They dove through a wreck into the kitchen and bedrooms - really neat.;)

I just found this post again and wanted to say thanks for the link to your pictures, they are great, as usual! I appreciate you posting the same picture with and without flash. Let's me see why I have to get hubby that strobe! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
